Stree 2, the horror-comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, continues to impress at the box office. Now in its fifth week, the film has maintained strong collections even on weekdays. On Day 34, Stree 2 added another ₹2-3 crore to its total, bringing its domestic box office collection close to ₹560 crore. This makes it one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2024.
The film opened with a strong start, earning ₹8.5 crore during its preview shows and ₹51.8 crore on its first day. Since then, it has consistently performed well, particularly over weekends. During its fifth weekend, the movie earned around ₹6.75 crore on Sunday alone. Even though weekday collections typically slow down, Stree 2 has managed to maintain a steady pace, showing its strong appeal among audiences.
The success of Stree 2 can be attributed to its engaging mix of humor and supernatural elements, which has attracted a wide audience. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s performances have been praised, and the film’s storyline, which continues the spooky tale from the first Stree movie, has been a hit with fans. Additionally, the presence of actors like Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana has further added to the film’s charm.
Despite facing some competition from new releases, Stree 2 remains a popular choice in theaters, and trade analysts expect the film to continue its successful run for a few more weeks. It is now eyeing the ₹600 crore mark, a major milestone for a Bollywood film.
